OLED — Organic Light-Emitting Diode — has each pixel emit its own light, with no backlight at all. That's what gives you perfect blacks and infinite contrast. But it also means OLED sets have failure modes that LED and QLED simply don't:

  • Burn-in / image retention on logos and game HUDs
  • Uneven brightness ("vignetting") after 2,000+ hours of use
  • Pink or magenta tint on dark scenes (panel cell ageing)
  • Compensation cycles getting interrupted by power cuts
  • HDMI 2.1 link errors with PS5 / Xbox Series X at 4K@120

Most are fully repairable. We can run forced compensation cycles, recalibrate panel uniformity, replace logic boards, and update firmware. We do not replace the OLED panel itself (it costs more than the TV).
